1.    What is Chromecast?

Chromecast is the most popular  Google device. It has an HDMI cable that enables users to stream media through a connected device monitor or television. Chromecast is an affordable device that can be used among multiple monitors or televisions. The good thing is that it is portable, you can easily take it anywhere, like hotels, roads and even mountains, during a trip or hike. Besides, instead of buying a smart TV, you can enjoy all the similar broadcasting features at a very nominal price.

All the versions of Chromecast work almost similarly. It can be used for streaming from a tablet or smartphone. You can connect it with your personal computer or laptop. What you see on your laptop will be displayed on your TV.

2.    What does Chromecast do?

Chromecast receives data over a Wi-Fi network from a connected computer or laptop. It displays photos, media apps, movies or media applications. It allows you to watch  YouTube video on your TV

If you’re watching a YouTube video on your laptop and want to show it on your family’s TV, you can connect to Chromecast and project the video for everyone. It basically makes your connected TV or monitors a mirror of your laptop screen.

You can also directly select compatible services in your Chromecast without allowing them getting appeared appearing on the screen of your device. Chrome sat allows you to enjoy Google services like YouTube, Google Play or music on high resolution and a bigger screen.

3.    How do I set up Google Chromecast?

Follow the following steps to set up Google Chromecast:

Step1:

Connect the Chromecast with your television or monitor using the available port of HDMI

Step 2:

Download  Google Home Android App that is compatible with your laptop or PC. Visit the Chromecast setup page to get help downloading the application.

Step 3:

Follow the instructions on the television screen to connect to a wireless network and start using your Chromecast.

The Google Home app will guide you and ensure that Chromecast works correctly. There are no separate steps for the installation of Chromecast for laptops or personal computers.

4.    How to connect Chromecast with laptop?

First, make sure that the Chrome Browser is updated and installed properly. After that follow the following steps to connect from laptop.

Step 1:

Open the window of Chrome Browser on your laptop.

Step 2:

Look at the three dots that are at the upper right corner of your browser and click on them to start streaming to your monitor or TV.

Step 3:

Chose the available device of Chromecast by selecting “Cast”. If there are more then one device that is available in your range, all of these devices show up for selection. Make sure you chose the right device.

Step 4:

Three options displayed when you click the “Sources”. The options are:

  • A cast tab that actually shoes the tab you are using.
  • A cast desktop, this tab basically shows the laptop screen even if you are not browsing.
  • A Cast file of your choice

Select the option of your choice.

Step 5:

After selecting the screen to cast. Select the name of the Chromecast device that you proffered. That’s all your content is ready to stream now. You can now use your monitor or TV in the same way as you use the screen of your laptop. You can now display photos, watch movies, use social media and stream entertainment or News channels.

Chromecast is a remarkeable tool for sharing your laptop screen across the room or seeing small details more clearly.
